What It Is!

I just spotted this on YouTube - Oh, Joy! From 1977, one of my favourite 12" Disco hits, with what now, sounds to me like early Acid House squelches ten years before their time. When the needle was lowered onto this baby, resistance was futile. I know, I was there!

  1. must be a guitar put through some sort of effect pedal or some such, the 303 wasn't released until '82 (the bassline generator that makes the acid squelch)

    1. Is that the Roland TB-303? I was doing a bit of research about the acid squelch, so you've answered my question. Thanks, Kev!

  2. Yeah, that's right, I posted an original review of it from '82 here http://www.djfood.org/djfood/30-years-of-acid-mix-by-posthuman-on-solid-steel
