Now to reveal my new Vertigo series design with stunning cover art by Fiona Stephenson.

The premise of BODIES is that it focuses on four different detectives who are trying to solve a murder mystery across four different time periods in the history of London, including 1890, 1940, 2014 and 2050. Written by Si Spencer, each time period will be drawn by one of four artists on the series: Dean Ormston, Phil Winslade, Meghan Hetrick and Tula Lotay. Editor: Shelly Bond. Assistant Editor: Sara Miller. The miniseries will be eight issues long and begins July 30th 2014.

Motion Photography @ Saatchi Gallery

Last night, Michelle and I were invited along to see the finalists at the Motion Photography exhibition. It was a well attended and interesting event, with plenty of food and champagne to add to the occasion. Below is the official info about the Motion Photography Prize and you can find the moving images on this link

With the ubiquity of smartphones and rise in photo-sharing services, the world has recently exploded with photographers from all backgrounds who are embracing new technology to tell their stories in innovative ways, not least of all via motion photography.

In recognition of the exciting potential of this new technology, Saatchi Art, the Saatchi Gallery and Google+ have awarded the inaugural Motion Photography Prize, with photographers from all over the world celebrating this new creative art form.

So there you have it! I wish I'd had the time to make one myself now. Incidentally, that's the back of Steven Berkoff's head - and below, Michelle sizes up one of the sculptures with her iPad in the adjacent gallery.

What It Is!

I just spotted this on YouTube - Oh, Joy! From 1977, one of my favourite 12" Disco hits, with what now, sounds to me like early Acid House squelches ten years before their time. When the needle was lowered onto this baby, resistance was futile. I know, I was there!

Battlestar Galactica - The Movie!

According to Dave McNary at Variety, Universal is planning a movie version of tv's Battlestar Galactica, and aim to develop the film as a complete re-imagining of the story. Strangely enough, I'd just been contemplating watching the tv series all over again.
