The Digital Cupboard: Halo Jones

Another gem from my old 90's back-ups. Halo Jones by (Jim Murray and/or Jason Brashill)? Or somebody who has digitised their art. It's been a while, I just can't be sure. A no-prize to anyone with the correct answer. This was for a Fleetway Film & TV brochure if my memory serves me correctly.
UPDATE  Thanks to a couple of you for pointing out that it's by Jim Murray and Robert McCallum.

    1. Yeah, FFTV - Fleetway Film & Television. Didn't happen though, obviously. I think I have the brochure somewhere...

  2. Hi Steve,my name's Jim and I'm currently running the 2000AD Tumblr-I love your blog BTW & plunder it remorselessly(with links, natch!).Just to give you the skinny on this brilliant piece:it IS by Jim Murray and was given away as part of a series of fine-art prints-attached to the back cover in the mid 90s-this one is from Prog1016(5Nov'96).Hope this helps! All the best Jim @2000adonline.tumblr.com

    1. Hi Jim, Thanks, you're absolutely right! You've jogged my memory. I was there at the time but had totally forgotten about it. I think I still have the brochure that preceded the prints somewhere. I'll keep an eye out for it.
      Keep Tumblring!

  3. According to the same Prog 1016, inside front, it's by Robert McCallum as well as Jim Murray. Keep up the great work, Steve!

  4. Hey Steve- Rob McCallum here! Couldn't find the art on my art drive and a search led me here.

Yes it was pencilled and designed by me and painted by Jim. I also designed and pencilled a Robohunter one as well as a Bad Company one - painted by others. I have vague memories of seeing the end result of the Bad Company one but didn't see how the other one turned out. They were huge too. A0 at least!

    1. Hey Rob, Thanks for clarifying this. I wish I had scans of the others, but this and the Slaine painting were the only two I could find. I had them when I was designing the FFTV poster. Cheers!
